Documentation Requirements for Cylinders
Letter from Colin Harcourt, Aircom President
Periodically Aircom Instrumentation is asked to provide
additional documentation (ie. Material Test Reports, Pressure
test results, etc.) with orders of our Transport Canada approved
cylinders. This is neither necessary nor required.
Aircom Instrumentation manufactures cylinders in
compliance with CAN/CSA B339 & B340 (Latest revision). As
such the ''TC-SU-4508'' stamped on our TC approved cylinders authorizes
us to manufacture and offer for sale, cylinders that have undergone
stringent testing and prequalification of raw materials. (PMI,
flattening tests, etc.)
Our cylinders are 100% inspected by a Transport
Canada approved independent inspection agency and results are
reported to Transport Canada. The welds of our cylinders are visually
inspected twice prior to acceptance. Wall thickness tests and
hydro testing of each cylinder to 1.5 times its rated pressure
is performed, witnessed and documented. Samples from every lot
we manufacture are destructively tested to ensure compliance as
well.
A cylinder marked with ''TC-SU-4508'' is a cylinder
that has undergone some of the most stringent test requirements
on the globe. It is your assurance that dangerous goods contained
within, will remain within and can be transported by air, road,
rail or vessel with the highest degree of safety.
For further information please consult TDG (Transport
of Dangerous Goods Directorate online at: www.tc.gc.ca/tdg),
CAN/CSA B339-02, CAN/CSA B340-02, or by contacting us directly.
We thank you for your patronage and look forward
to assisting you with your sample cylinder requirements.
Sincerely, Colin Harcourt, President
